KB Equine is a dressage based riding center that focuses on bio-mechanics and ensuring students have an in-depth understanding of what they are doing, and why. In addition to dressage, we also teach jumping and the so important cavaletti work!
Trainer Katie Bogaert is a USDF Bronze Medalist with aspirations for earning her Silver Medal. She has trained and apprenticed under many trainers such as Sarah Geikie, Patrick King, Vincent Flores, Luis Valenca (Portugal), and many others. Katie continuously takes lessons and frequents USDF sanctioned workshops and programs such as the Riding & Teaching Workshops, and the Young Rider Graduate Program and plans to test as a USDF Certified Instructor.
Although dedicated to the sport of dressage, Katie has a diverse riding background that includes reining, cutting, western versatility, hunters, jumpers, stock horse shows, and more.
Katie has a passion for teaching both adults and children, and focuses her program heavily around setting and achieving goals. Katie invites each student to develop their own personal goals, that may or may not be related to showing, and is passionate about helping each rider reach their best potential to become a beneficial partner to their horse.
